Jeff Calibaba, CEO
Gameplan HR™ is led by CEO, Jeff Calibaba. With over 35 years of experience, Jeff has earned a reputation as a respected corporate visionary, innovator, leader, author, mentor and coach. Recognizing the opportunity to create change in the field of HR, Jeff founded Gameplan HR™, a consulting practice that provides full-service support and solutions for corporate HR programs and professionals, and the HR Catalyst Academy™, where HR professionals receive training to obtain HR Catalyst certification.
A career with origins in Saskatchewan as the province’s first licensed paramedic, Jeff went on to author a best-selling medical reference guide. After quickly rising through the ranks to executive positions in Saskatchewan and Alberta’s health districts, he founded and led a medical supply distribution company, achieving recognition as a premier distributor and marketer of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). He subsequently published his next book, A Heart for the Community, and created a process called the “HeartSave Awareness Program,” which was patented and implemented internationally and earned him a Thomas Alva Edison Award for Innovation.
Jeff went on to build two property development companies in Alberta and B.C., as well as an Intellectual Property Packaging and Licensing firm. After graduating from MIT’s Entrepreneurial Executive Masters Program (EMP) in 2005, he also served as facilitator and instructor of the Program in Boston from 2006 through 2014. During this time, he also provided his expertise as a Business Execution Specialist to a variety of companies for Results Canada, before accepting the role of CEO for the largest traffic supply company in Western Canada in 2015 and leading them to become one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies from 2016 through 2018.
Following that, Jeff joined Optimum Talent (now Gallagher) as their Western Region Vice President of Talent Management, while also developing multiple thriving executive mentoring groups as a Master Chair for TEC Canada.
Through Gameplan HR™, Jeff brings his multi-disciplinary corporate and leadership background, passion for developing strategies, and extensive human resources experience to support organizations with attracting and retaining high-performing teams and staying current with the emerging trends in human resources management.
Dawn Calow, Vice President, Client Solutions
Dawn Calow is the Vice President, Client Solutions at Gameplan HR with over 25 years of experience in HR consulting, spanning executive and professional search to career transition services. With a proven track record of forging strong business relationships and helping organizations realize their potential through their people strategy, Dawn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to all the companies and professionals she works with.
Throughout the years, Dawn has demonstrated the ability to listen and identify the unique qualities and challenges of each of her clients, and to support their success by providing the expertise needed to realize and surpass company goals. She has worked in a number of industries such as forestry, manufacturing, executive search services, even game-planning at the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Dawn is passionate about working with HR professionals and their executive teams, and she takes pride in being recognized as their “go-to” support and trusted advisor. Dawn is dedicated to helping teams realize their people goals and to be one of the greatest places to work!
Dawn holds a BBA in Strategic HR and Marketing and has recently graduated from Gameplan HR’s HR Catalyst Academy.
Outside of work, Dawn enjoys working out at the gym, spending time with friends, and traveling.

Cindy specializes in areas including organizational design, succession planning, employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, leadership development, and strategic HR leadership, bringing a collaborative, practical approach that helps both people and organizations thrive.

Drawing on leadership roles with international consulting firms including Ernst & Young and Hay Group (now Korn Ferry), Daryl helps organizations align their people strategies with business objectives while building engaged, high-performing teams. He is recognized for his expertise in compensation, organizational design, leadership development, and governance, bringing a practical, results-focused approach to complex people and organizational challenges.
